Developmental Editing

Sometimes you have a great idea, story, or theme you would like to share, but aren’t sure the message is getting across.

Developmental editing ensures that the flow and pace of your work encourages readers to keep turning the page. For fiction, developmental editing can also strengthen plot and characters.

After a developmental edit, you will receive:

  1. Marked-up documents with in-text comments.

  2. An editorial letter outlining concerns and suggested changes.

  3. A 60-minute follow-up session to discuss the feedback and discuss possible next steps.

Developmental editing rates start at $0.03/word for fiction and $0.04/word for nonfiction.
